As the head of the consulting group for Women in Leadership at The Alexcel Group, Barbara is well recognized in the executive coaching and leadership development field. For 8 years, she was the head of the coaching faculty for the Global Institute for Leadership (GILD) at Linkage Inc.
Barbara’s most recent projects include Positive Intelligence training for Healthcare and other professionals. She is a Certified Positive Intelligence Coach and a highly skilled pod facilitator. Barbara has also keynoted and developed training programs for Women in Leadership, Strategic Partnering, Team building, Time to Think, Mindfulness, and Strategies for Successful Leadership for various Fortune 100 companies. Ms. McMahon has partnered with Alexcel Group and the Institute for Executive Development in a research project and paper on Best Practices for Executives in Transition. She has frequently been called upon to speak and consult on this topic.
Ms. Mintzer-McMahon was an instructor for over 20 years in the Graduate Psychology Department at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California, teaching Systems Theory and Group Dynamics. In 1999, she accepted a position as adjunct professor at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, teaching Group Process in the Graduate Department of Education and Counseling.
Ms. Mintzer-McMahon is a psychotherapist and has accumulated twenty-five years of clinical experience, during part of this time she worked as a full time clinical consultant to a Police Department in Northern California. While working for the police she developed one of the first systemically oriented programs in Stress Management and soon became sought after as a consultant in Stress Management for both Business and Professionals in High Risk Occupations.

Ms. McMahon has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation, and a Master Corporate Executive Coach from the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches (ACEC).
